Logan's Run

In a domed city of the 23rd century, people enjoy a life of pleasure but are expected to undergo a mysterious renewal ceremony at 30. A security officer investigating those who flee the system begins questioning the rules governing his society and ventures beyond its protected world.

My take

You’ll enjoy this if you like thoughtful, adventurous 1970s science fiction with bold ideas and retro charm; Not for you if slow pacing, dated effects, and loose story logic quickly become distracting.
