Lobster Tale

Kind-hearted lobsterman Cody Brewer (Colm Meaney) cannot seem to pay enough attention to his wife (Alberta Watson) or his teenage son (Jack Knight). When Cody discovers odd green moss in one of his traps, he learns that the moss has supernatural healing powers. As the townspeople find out about the supernatural moss, Cody becomes the most popular man in town. But, with the option of making a profit, Cody must decide between helping others and helping himself.

My take

A quiet moral drama that sneaks up on you. When a distracted lobsterman stumbles upon something impossible, he faces a deeply human choice between profit and purpose—the kind of story that lingers long after it ends.
