Critics

Audience

A seasoned Oxford detective and his thoughtful sergeant investigate difficult cases among the university city's scholars and privileged residents. Their partnership combines practical police work, intellectual reasoning, dry humor, and a quietly developing friendship against the elegant backdrop of Oxford.

My take

You’ll enjoy this if you like thoughtful British mysteries, strong detective partnerships, and atmospheric settings similar to Vera or Endeavour; Not for you if you prefer fast pacing, simple plots, or frequent action.
