Lawless

During the Depression, three brothers run a hidden bootlegging operation in rural Virginia. Their uneasy arrangement with local authorities changes when a ruthless lawman arrives from Chicago, forcing the family to defend its business and face escalating violence, shifting loyalties, and personal risks.

My take

You may enjoy this gritty, violent Prohibition-era crime drama for its strong performances, striking rural atmosphere, and family tension; Not for you if you prefer fast pacing, subtle violence, or tightly plotted stories.
