Kubo and the Two Strings

A gifted young storyteller uses magical origami to entertain a village, but an evil spirit soon threatens his life. Joined by a monkey and a beetle, he sets out across a mystical ancient Japan to uncover his family's past, find magical protective artifacts, and understand the powers within him.

You’ll enjoy this if you like imaginative, emotionally resonant fantasy adventures with striking visuals, especially ParaNorman or Wolfwalkers; Not for you if you prefer light stories with simple themes and little peril.
