Jem

A young woman uses a holographic computer inherited from her father to transform herself and her friends into a pop group. As they pursue music together, the series follows their adventures as a band and the challenges that come with their double lives.

My take

You may enjoy this if you like glamorous music adventures, friendship, and bright retro style; Not for you if you prefer subtle stories or grounded plots, since its charm leans on melodrama and nostalgia.
