Insidious: The Red Door

A father and his college-aged son try to repair their strained relationship while disturbing memories and supernatural visions return. As they confront a sinister red door and the dangers beyond it, both must face their family's troubled past and the forces connected to it.

My take

You may enjoy this if you like familiar supernatural horror, family tension, and jump scares, especially in the vein of Poltergeist II: The Other Side; Not for you if you want fresh mythology or consistently intense scares.
