After a presidential candidate dies unexpectedly during a campaign, a Washington, D.C. alderman is chosen as a replacement nominee. Thrust into a difficult race, he must adapt to national politics while trying to run a campaign in his own unconventional way.

My take

You may enjoy this if you like broad political comedies with unconventional candidates and occasional social commentary, but Not for you if you prefer focused satire, consistent laughs, or polished storytelling like Bulworth.
