Girl, Interrupted

In the late 1960s, a young woman’s brief psychiatric evaluation leads to an extended stay in a women’s institution. As she forms friendships with fellow patients and encounters the facility’s strict routines, she struggles to understand herself and decide whether she belongs inside or in the outside world.

You’ll like this if you enjoy intense coming-of-age dramas, memorable ensemble performances, and thoughtful stories about mental health; Not for you if you prefer tightly plotted films or understated emotional material.
