Doug Freeman comes home expecting a family dinner with his wife and two daughters, but instead finds them joined by his best friend and a hired interventionist. Doug's intervention is interrupted by Beau, a fleeing, armed, escaped convict who holds everyone hostage in the family home while he waits for the police in the area to move on.

My take

A darkly comedic hostage thriller that flips the script on family drama. When an armed fugitive crashes Doug's intervention, the real reckoning begins—equal parts tense and absurd, it's the kind of film that finds humor in chaos and humanity in the worst moments.
