Andy, an aspiring performer who used to dream bigger, still can’t land the breaks he wants and spends his time working as an extra. Staying upbeat, he believes rubbing shoulders with celebrities and getting in on the action is only a job or two away from his big breakthrough.

My take

If you enjoy awkward workplace-style comedy with showbiz satire and plenty of celebrity cameos, Extras is likely your kind of laugh; Not for you if you prefer The Office-style self-deprecation over industry mockery or you dislike uncomfortable, cringe-driven humor like Curb Your Enthusiasm.
