Dolittle

After losing his wife, an eccentric doctor and veterinarian retreats from society with his collection of animals. When a young queen becomes gravely ill, he must leave his secluded home and sail toward a mythical island in search of a cure, facing old adversaries and rediscovering his courage along the way.

My take

You may enjoy this if you want a colorful, silly family adventure with talking animals and simple humor; Not for you if you prefer sharper writing, mature comedy, or more convincing character relationships.
