Deep Rising

A band of armed hijackers boards a luxury ocean liner planning to loot it, but the ship appears deserted. As they investigate the vessel, they discover that dangerous, tentacled sea creatures have already claimed it and now threaten everyone trapped aboard.

My take

You’ll likely enjoy this if you want a fast, gory, tongue-in-cheek creature feature with a 1990s B-movie spirit; Not for you if you prefer realism, subtle humor, or polished modern effects.
