Dead of Winter

A widowed fisherwoman traveling alone through snowbound northern Minnesota witnesses a teenage girl being kidnapped. Stranded hours from the nearest town without phone service, she must rely on her resourcefulness to protect the girl and confront a dangerous situation in the frozen wilderness.

My take

You’ll likely enjoy this if you want a compact, wintry survival thriller with strong performances and rising tension; Not for you if you need a highly original, consistently logical story.
