Dark Shadows

A young governess arrives at a mysterious family mansion in a foggy Massachusetts town, where intrigue, romance, and unsettling supernatural events gradually reshape the story. The long-running gothic serial expands into tales involving ghosts, vampires, witches, werewolves, time travel, and parallel worlds.

My take

You’ll like this if you enjoy old-fashioned gothic melodrama, sprawling supernatural stories, and campy charm; Not for you if you need fast pacing, polished effects, or consistently naturalistic performances.
