City of Ember

In a vast underground city, failing power threatens everyone as its lamps begin to flicker. Two teenagers search through aging machinery and forgotten clues for a way to understand their home and save its people before darkness takes over.

You may enjoy this if you like family adventures with unusual worlds, colorful visuals, and a sense of discovery, especially films such as Monster House; Not for you if you need tight plotting or detailed explanations.
