Cardboard Gangsters

A group of young men in a tough Dublin estate pursue money, power and status by entering the local drug trade. Their ambitions draw them into an increasingly violent and dangerous world, testing friendships, family ties and their ideas about the gangster lifestyle.

My take

You’ll like this if you enjoy gritty, violent crime dramas with a realistic low-budget feel, especially films such as Calm with Horses; Not for you if you prefer polished, glamorous gangster stories.
