Border Blues

A former Moscow detective now living in the US becomes mixed up in an illegal human smuggling operation. Though no longer a cop, he's the only one who can save the lives of a Russian woman and her daughter desperate to cross the border from Mexico when they are taken hostage by an unhinged coyote.

My take

Gritty and visceral—a former cop turned reluctant hero facing his darkest instincts to save innocents caught in a nightmare. Built for viewers who crave high-stakes tension with moral complexity and don't shy away from the brutal cost of heroism.
