Beyond the Pale

A detective is hired by a powerful former government official to investigate violent threats against his son, who has recently returned from India with his family. The case draws the detective into a tense household shaped by wealth, privilege, and long-standing personal conflicts.

My take

You may enjoy this if you like atmospheric period mysteries such as An Inspector Calls or Dalgliesh, but Not for you if very dark scenes, melodrama, or predictable TV-movie plotting are frustrating.
