In 1970s San Diego, a celebrated local TV anchorman enjoys being the station’s unquestioned star. His comfortable position is challenged when an ambitious female reporter joins the newsroom, forcing him and his colleagues to confront a changing workplace in increasingly ridiculous ways.

My take

You’ll enjoy this if you like loud, quotable ensemble comedies such as Step Brothers or Talladega Nights; Not for you if repetitive, immature humor and exaggerated characters quickly wear thin.
